The Athletic Edge Fall Instructional Baseball and Softball League program was developed to fill a need for a growing number of young athletes. The demand was there to provide a program that would give players an opportunity to play during the off-season. More importantly, this created an opportunity to develop a teaching structure within the league and shift the emphasis of play from “winning” to “learning.”
Our instructional program is designed to teach young players the most current skills and techniques, while developing their potential. Under the guidance of a managerial staff, participants will experience an informative clinic, instructional practices, and games which emphasize a teaching perspective.
Our activities begin in late July with evaluation sessions to determine the skills of each player. All registered participants will be advised of the specific date and time prior to their evaluation. Regular practices begin shortly thereafter leading up to our season opener in August. We continue with scheduled practices and games through October. This popular League was established in 1993 and has had players like Tommy Everidge, Jonny and Joey Gomes, Samantha Banister, Louis Ott, Brandon Burgess and Konrad Schmidt as its participants. We had 26 teams and nearly 350 players in 2009. This is the largest and longest running Fall Baseball League
